Abstract: Injectable hyaluronic acid gel (HAG) has become, for many practitioners, the gold standard for office-based soft tissue augmentation. Until recently, these agents were available only in specified concentrations. Altering concentration of HAGs for a wide range of applications has become common practice for those with a greater understanding of the utility of variable reconstitution and has allowed us to better understand some of the short- and long-term beneficial clinical effects. A multitude of applications will be discussed and a scientific basis for the associated effects explained.

Abstract: For many decades it has been the dream of clinicians to be able to transfer, as a graft, fat from one area of the body to another as was accomplished in the grafting of skin. Success was rarely achieved in anything but a very small graft and in grafts to the breasts, skeptics were opposed due to what was believed to be a cancer producing aspect to be feared as well as radiologists' supposed inability to distinguish the occasional calcification related to a graft with those seen in a malignancy. Both of these objections have been deemed not credible, but objections still prevail as to the inconsistency of the result. In our experience in over 2,000 cases, we've been able to achieve great success with grafting of fat and in this presentation we'll describe the secret to our success.

Decision Making in Facial Rejuvenation - A (Strategic) Means to an End! Immediate Past President American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) Adjunct Professor of Surgery - University of Alabama Private Practice Foley, AL www.facial-plastic-surgery.com/ Abstract: Facial Aging is a complicated process. It presents with different permutations throughout the adult lifetime. The signs of aging are multifaceted and involve every aspect of the facial anatomy. Rejuvenation of the Aging Face requires the application of not only surgical methods but also non-surgical methods and technologies. In the adoption of this framework patients presenting at a variety of ages and with a spectrum of aging issues may be optimally addressed. This presentations highlights the application of surgical and non-surgical methods. |

Minimally Invasive Techniques to Balance the Aging Face President-Elect American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Associate Clinical Professor, Dermatology Yale University School of Medicine Assistant Clinical Professor Tulane University School of Medicine Private Practice New Haven, CT www.savincenter.com/about/about-dr-lisa-donofrio/ Abstract: Patients desire less "downtime" with less invasive procedures. Recent discoveries of the fat compartments of the face have elucidated new mechanisms for facial aging. Restoring the youthful morphology of the fat compartments instead of just facial filling of folds should be the goal for all facial rejuvenation procedures. |
